INTO THE DARKNESS

Numbers were affected by illness, but a total of eight PSCC members turned up with cameras and tripods for an exercise in taking images in poor light.

We split into two groups, one group, comprising Sue and Chris, Norman, David Butler, and Terry chose a local walk and the other group comprising Chris Gilbert, and our two new members, Assaf and Ailsa Frank went by car.

For the local group, we started photographing the Gate, that we would return to later. David took charge of navigating, going past South Riding onto Lye Lane and walked by Woodbury Manor, ending up photographing traffic on the M25. Then back to the Parish Centre to off load our cameras and tripods into our cars, meeting up with the second group before having a drink and chat in the pub.

The second group took a short trip down the road by car to Bricket Wood Common and ventured into the woods. Although the bluebells were past their best there were still plenty around providing a picturesque backdrop to the woodland landscape. As the light began to fade so the sound of bird song increased, an enjoyable end to the evening shoot.
